Lucy (Sophie Henderson) and Tom (Matt Whelan) are best mates running a tiny, broke theatre. But when an accident forces them to shut down and Tom threatens to leave, Lucy realises she would do anything to save the theatre and keep her friend… who she might be in love with. WORKMATES will have its world premiere at the 2025 Whānau Mārama New Zealand International Film Festival on August 1 at The Civic, with additional screenings in Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.
