The film follows Jason, a devoted son caring for his ill mother. Exhausted and isolated, he begins suffering from terrifying nightmares of a monstrous entity devouring her. As his grip on reality starts to slip, his estranged sister Rachel becomes convinced that an unseen evil has taken root in the house. When Jason turns to an ancient remedy in a desperate attempt to heal his mother, the results are miraculous at first — but deeply unsettling. As strange events escalate, he is pulled into a terrifying descent where supernatural forces, paranoia and family tensions begin to collide.
