Is 2022 and 2023 the return of pirated screeners? It might be.
With the Tom Cruise effect, we’ve seen people finally return to the theaters. However, movie companies and distributors hasn’t caught up yet so the slate of movies in the autumn has been bleak to say the least. But at the same time, everyone wants a bit of that Oscar bump and especially streaming service. It works as the perfect ad for them.
Which movies will get an Oscar Screener?

There are most likely be hundreds of titles sent out, Departure and The Return of Tanya Tucker, but they are either small indie films or already out on a streaming service. The Leak has the full list of the screeners with plotlines and trailers.
Where can I download 2022 and 2023 Oscar DVD screeners?
First of all, torrent sites. Secondly, rarely do they appear as DVD screeners any longer. They are often sent as streaming links, watermarked and all. Or they get BluRay versions, but it’s still pretty rare.
When will the Oscar screeners leak?
In past years it’s been somewhere between December and January. The pirate groups sharing these screeners are named EVO, TOPKEK and Hive-CM8. Groups who blur out watermarks and share them as they please. But they weren’t very active last year, except for Ghostbusters Afterlife.
Any highlights?
There are a few. The Leak has a full screener list complete with storylines and trailers. But I would say The Whale, from Darren Aronofsky which had standing ovation at its premiere, looks good. Asteroid City is directed by Wes Anderson and has every possible Hollywood star imaginable. Avatar The Way of Water and Wakanda Forever pretty much speak for themselves and you might not want to watch a shabby DVD Screener of them anyway. Emancipation is sort of a joke by now as it stars the slap-man himself – Will Smith.
