Description
The story of toys coming to life seems like an unlikely choice for Alex Garland ("Sunshine", "Ex Machina", "Annihilation", "Devs"), but the filmmaker wrote the script himself. Unlike Toy Story, the toys were created in Victorian era and they're still living in the same house in the present day. Apparently, the film is similar in tone to cult classic, "The Princess Bride". Garland won't direct the film - it will be Paloma Baeza, a BAFTA and Annie Award winner who directed the animated short "Poles Apart" (also, she is Garland's wife).
