In Paris, things do not start well for Yoav. A young Israeli who arrives in the French capital with great expectations, determined to get rid of his nationality as quickly as possible. For him, being an Israeli is like a tumor that must be removed. Becoming French, on the other hand, would simply mean his salvation. To erase his origins, Yoav first decides not to speak a single word of Hebrew. The dictionary becomes your best companion. The visits to the Israeli embassy bother him. But the process also has its traps. And the young French couple he befriends have some rather strange ideas about how to help him ... Based on his own experiences, director Nadav Lapid explores the challenges of trying to start in a new country.
