Never Rarely Sometimes Always is a simple and quiet teenage drama movie by American writer and director Eliza Hittman. The narrative follows two teen girls in Pennsylvania. Autumn (Sidney Flanigan), when faced with unwanted pregnancy, travels to New York City with her cousin Skylar (Talia Ryder) on a tense journey of compassion, bravery, and friendship.
After learning about an unwanted pregnancy, Autumn starts to look for options in rural Pennsylvania and soon realizes how limited they really are. So, she decides to travel to New York City with her cousin Skylar hoping to find the help that she needs. What follows is a movie exploring the hardships a woman generally has to go through in order to take control of her body.
Never Really Sometimes Always is a love letter to all women who live in a system that wasn’t built for them. It is also a tribute to all the strong women that help the vulnerable ones.
