Description
The third feature film directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson is an adaptation of a science fiction novel “The Darkest Minds”. A fatal disease wipes out most of the youth population, and leaves the survivors held captive in government camps. The main character, Ruby, is a teenage girl who escapes confinement and meets with a fellow group of teens who have also managed to escape. The lead is portrayed by Amandla Stenberg (Rue from “The Hunger Games”), alongside a supporting cast which includes Harris Dickinson, Mandy Moore, Patrick Gibson, Skylan Brooks, and Gwendoline Christie.
