The Predator

The fourth installment in the ‘Predator’ franchise takes place in between the second and third films, although it’s set in present day. This sequel is the first in the series directed by Shane Black, known for critically acclaimed films “The Nice Guys”, and “Iron Man 3”. It’s the fourth feature film from Black, who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Fred Dekker, passionate fans of the franchise might remember Black as ‘Rick’ from the original “Predator” film. However, one might argue the newest instalment has the best cast the series has ever seen. Boyd Holbrook co-stars as a former marine who starts a special forces operation when he discovers the predators, but finds that no one believes they exist. Olivia Munn co-stars as a scientist who researches the mysterious species in order to help fight against them. The supporting cast features Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key, Sterling K. Brown, Jacob Tremblay, Yvonne Strahovski, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, and Edward James Olmos.
