A Kid Like Jake

The new feature film from American director Silas Howard, “A Kid Like Jake”, is an adaptation of Daniel Pearle’s novel of the same name, (Pearle also penned the screenplay). The film will premiere this week at the Sundance Film Festival ahead of its theatrical release later this year. Claire Danes, and Jim Parsons, star as two parents who have just enrolled their young child in school. Their four year-old son means the world to them, but they allow their family to slowly fall apart as they both have concerns about addressing the gender identity of their child. Additional roles are portrayed by Octavia Spencer, Priyanka Chopra, and Ann Dowd.
